We are proud to assist our client, a prominent leader in rotor wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), in their search for skilled AME "E" Technicians to join their team in Petawawa, ON.
Responsibilities:

Oversee projects assigned by the Avionics Manager or Supervisor and collaborate with other trade Supervisors/Leads to meet turnaround time (TAT) requirements.

Conduct aircraft inspections, including airframe avionics, engines, and components.

Review work packages for aircraft maintenance to ensure completion according to internal QCP/MPM Manuals.

Perform and supervise aircraft maintenance to applicable standards, adhering to all internal quality control procedures and maintenance program manuals.

Carry out modifications and installations according to installation instructions and certification guidelines.

Monitor work progress to ensure estimated times on work cards are met.

Troubleshoot faulty systems to determine necessary rectification processes.

Operate Avionics test equipment, such as air data test sets, navigation and communication devices, ATC ramp testers, and other electronic test equipment.

Maintain hangar housekeeping policies for the designated area of responsibility.

Mentor Apprentices to ensure they apply correct concepts, skills, and safety practices to complete tasks.

Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and/or the Design Approval Organization (DAO) to obtain repair design approvals as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned, including working shifts and weekends as required.

International travel may be necessary.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
-
Hold a valid Transport Canada AME "E" Type license or have completed Military AVN training on CH-146.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on Bell-type helicopters.

Possess a type endorsement on Bell 412.

Proficient in using electronic or paper-based manuals (IETM) and able to navigate vendor data to find necessary information.

Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation standards.

Self-motivated with the ability to process complex systems logically.

Results-oriented with a focus on quality and computer literate.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to take direction and follow instructions.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Legally eligible to work in Canada.
