About the Role

We are looking for a Buyer to contribute to the procurement function, ensuring the purchasing of goods, materials, and services meets the company's needs in terms of cost, quality, and delivery. The role requires strong analytical skills, supplier relationship management, and an ability to work cross-functionally to ensure continuity of supply.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Follow company procedures and corporate governance at all times.
✔ Manage supplier order books by updating purchase orders and ensuring on-time delivery.
✔ Expedite purchase orders when required.
✔ Analyze demand via MRP system to maintain sufficient stock levels for profitability.
✔ Create purchase orders based on MRP demand.
✔ Maintain supplier quotations and ensure accurate input into the MRP system.
✔ Identify risks, opportunities, and market trends to optimize supplier performance.
✔ Seek competitive advantages in procurement strategy.
✔ Collaborate cross-functionally, making recommendations for process improvements.

Experience & Qualifications

✔ Experience in general office administration and procurement.
✔ Comfortable working in data-driven environments, handling spreadsheets with high accuracy.
✔ Understanding of the procurement function in a business setting.
✔ Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
✔ (Equivalent US/Canadian qualifications) with Math & English as a minimum.
✔ Willingness to pursue professional accreditation.
