Job Overview:
The Design Engineer will play a key role in the Pickering Safe Storage Project, ensuring the production and delivery of high-quality design products. You will be responsible for meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets as established by the Engineering Section Manager or Project Manager. Proficiency in Engineering Change Control (ECC) processes is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering documentation, including specifications, procedures, training and operations manuals, and drawings.
• Follow governance, processes, and guidelines for preparing and revising engineering and project documentation.
• Conduct fieldwork to validate assumptions, and provide technical support/oversight during execution activities.
• Assist with project planning, including creating Project Execution Plans, estimates, Risk Registers, Business Case Summaries, and other documents.
• Prepare/revise technical justifications, procedures, and qualification plans.
• Interface with regulators and stakeholders on technical matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation and Control, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
• P. Eng. designation required.
• 5+ years of experience in the relevant field of engineering.
• Experience with Engineering Change Control processes preferred.
• Nuclear industry experience preferred.
• Project Management or Project Coordination experience is an asset.
• DE Qualification (QID 33685) is preferred.
