Our client, specialized in the aviation industry is seeking Avionics Simulation Specialists to join their team in Montreal ,QC.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Monte-Carlo type simulations for autonomy algorithm development.
Perform real-time, Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) and System-Level simulations.
Engage in avionics hardware and embedded software development and certification activities.
Participate in aircraft system development and certification activities.
Contribute to ground segment development and certification activities.
Evaluate and validate aircraft performance.
Define and validate Concept of Operations (ConOps).
Provide operator/'pilot' training and maintenance training.
Lead the design and development of advanced simulations for various applications.
Develop, validate, and deploy advanced simulation capabilities related to aircraft and ground segment avionics.
Foster departmental expertise in avionics and avionics simulation.
Collaborate with internal customers to identify simulation system requirements, plan milestones, and deliver critical tools/capabilities.
Organize, plan, and advance end-to-end simulation development efforts to support autonomous air-taxi ConOps.
Work with agile teams to manage the development backlog and ensure the needs of internal groups/IPTs are met.
Define and fulfill long-term simulation requirements, including certification aspects of the simulation platform.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with and integrating aircraft avionics (FMS, EGPWS, WXR, TCAS, ACARS, CPDLC, VOR/DME, etc), preferably in a real-time simulation environment.
Experience with ARINC 429, ARINC 664, and ARINC 708.
Experience setting up and working with HIL/SIL simulations and test environments.
Familiarity with aircraft systems, aircraft dynamics, and aircraft operations.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
Strong software architecture design and development skills.
