Role: Equipment Project Manager
Duration: 03/24/2025 to 04/24/2026
Years of Experience: Intermediate (4-9yrs)
Location: Saskatoon, SK Monday - Friday - on site 2/3 days per week
Hours: This position consists of 40 hours per week with the possibility of up to 48 hours with prior approval.
Position Notes:
• This is a hybrid position.
• Frequent travel to corporate office Saskatoon and our Saskatchewan sites will be required during active project planning and execution.
• Travel to site is required once every 4 weeks, unless discussed with reporting supervisor.
Role Description / Key Responsibilities
• Management of multiple Capital equipment projects are in various stages, ranging from concept/framing through to implementation in line with the life of mine equipment cycles.
• Strong and dynamic individual to ensure all aspects of project planning and execution meets the established requirements with respect to budget, schedule, scope, quality, health, safety, and environment.
• It is essential that this individual has the self-motivation to work efficiency, productivity and in compliance with Cameco and industry standards.
• You will manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, identify and secure resources, report on project status to management, facilitate solutions, manage project risk, and promote a culture consistent with Cameco values.
Competencies / Skills / Previous Experience
• HD trade certification / professional engineering designation and/or, PMP
• Experience managing mining or other industrial projects through various stages, ranging from concept/framing through to implementation in line with the life of mine equipment cycles.
• Skilled with MS software programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with SAP would be a benefit.
• Ability to create and present quarterly and annual reports to stakeholders.
• 4-9 years of combined work experience with mobile equipment/project management roles within a mining, or industrial setting.
• A combination of education and relevant experience with mobile equipment, equipment rebuilds and/or equipment manufacturing projects is considered an asset.
• Experience in an underground mining environment is required.
• The ability to effectively communicate, bringing transparency, building trust with stakeholders.
• Ability to build and sustain internal and external relationships
• Ability to quickly and successfully embrace change and adapt effectively.
