Job Summary:
Bruce Power is seeking a skilled Project Engineer/Field Team Lead with extensive experience in project management and field engineering to lead and coordinate project activities on-site. The ideal candidate will ensure that project objectives are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead field engineering and project execution teams to deliver on project objectives, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including Bruce Power operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and vendors, to ensure project alignment with requirements.
- Manage on-site activities, logistics, and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Develop, track, and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
- Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and other documentation for stakeholders, including project status updates, financials, and risk assessments.
- Ensure accurate and timely project documentation, including quality assurance, inspection reports, and change management records.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; P.Eng designation preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in project engineering, field engineering, or construction management, with specific experience in nuclear, power, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design software.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
- Problem-solving capabilities, with experience in troubleshooting field engineering issues and identifying effective solutions.
- Security Clearance: Must be security clearance for work in nuclear facilities.
