Mechanical Owners Engineer
General Accountabilities
- Reporting to the accountable Design Engineering Section Manager to provide Owner Engineer support
- Manage and co-ordinate technical support of multiple projects simultaneously
- Ensure work is completed to required technical standards
- Coordinate with Work Management, Supply Chain, Trades FLM's, Engineering, Operations, Safety, Waste Management, Environment and other stakeholders to assist implementation of projects from concept through execution, commissioning and return to service
- Manage assigned project deliverables on schedule and budget
- Other duties as assigned
General Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO), or eligible for PEO status, with a passion for engineering
- Bruce Power and/or OPG Security Clearance is an asset
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards is desired, along with a strong understanding of and commitment to meeting superior quality assurance requirements
Specific Requirements
- Mechanical OE with valves experience: Experience with non-nuclear valves (CSA N285.0 Class 6, ASME B31.1) and nuclear valves (CSA N285.0 Class 1,2,3, AMSE BPVC Section III). Experience with CRN and TSSA registration. Experience with valve sizing, flow calculations and valve actuators such as motor-operated actuators & air-operated actuators. Experience/awareness of interfacing system impacts, such as piping stress analysis, piping supports, electrical supply including cabling and MCCs, limit switches, seismic qualification, environmental qualification.
