Structural Design & Airworthiness Engineer

Position Type: Permanent (Kelowna, BC) or 1-year Remote Contract
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 CAD/year
Role Overview:
This position involves creating structural design and compliance documentation to support aircraft modifications and ensure airworthiness standards. The engineer will liaise with Transport Canada’s Delegated Airworthiness Representatives (DARs) and collaborate across technical disciplines to incorporate all requirements into design work.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop structural design documentation (e.g., equipment and antenna installation, supplemental inspections).
Prepare compliance documents, including certification plans, structural and fatigue analysis, and weight/balance reports.
Coordinate with DARs for regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in structural/mechanical design or 2 years specific to aircraft structures. Experience with aircraft modification certification preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; familiarity with aerospace regulations (TCCA, FAA, EASA).
Certification: Eligibility for EIT registration under EGBC.
