About the Role
We are seeking a System Test Technician to support our test operations during night and weekend shifts. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting integrated test assets. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced test environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for test teams conducting component and system-level testing.
- Configure and upgrade test assets as needed to meet testing requirements.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings for assembling test fixtures and harnesses.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) test stations.
- Document all configuration changes, maintenance activities, and any identified issues in system logs.
- Load and update software and firmware on aircraft and avionics systems.
- Manage lab organization, inventory, and tool control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth test operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a lab technician.
- Proficiency with hand and machine shop tools, as well as electronic testing tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Familiarity with aerospace safety protocols, tool control, and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with remote and on-site teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software, including VeriStand, LabVIEW, and PXI.
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems (600V and higher), batteries, and electric motors.
- Familiarity with Linux and scripting languages such as Python.
