Job Title: Technical Project Manager (IT) - Court Technology Services Projects - 484
Project Scope: Our client is seeking a Project Manager for the Court Technology Services team to lead various technology projects aimed at upgrading and implementing IT solutions within the Court system. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of these projects, including planning, vendor management, communication, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management, in collaboration with senior leadership and internal stakeholders.
Contract: 36 months
Location: Edmonton, AB (hybrid 3 days in office)
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- 8+ years of experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience developing project deliverables, including project charters and business cases.
- 8+ years of experience managing custom application development projects, leading teams of at least 5 people.
- 8+ years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- 8+ years of experience successfully implementing IT solutions in a complex environment with project deadlines.
- 8+ years of experience working as a Project Manager on large, complex custom software projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources for multiple technology initiatives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Prepare and present project documentation, including briefing notes, presentations, and status reports for steering committees and stakeholders.
- Track and manage project scope, timelines, risks, and issues, ensuring proper communication and escalation.
- Maintain documentation for decision-making processes, approvals, and action items.
- Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Manage the relationship between external vendors and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Ensure all projects are compliant with organizational architecture and policies.
Additional Duties:
- Lead the development of project charters, business plans, and deliverables.
- Conduct consultations with key internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor progress and summarize updates for management, including addressing risks and resource needs.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, estimate resource requirements, and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Foster positive working relationships across departments to ensure project alignment with broader Court directions.
- Support change management efforts and provide communication leadership within the project teams.
- Contribute to senior-level briefings and reports, as needed.
