Aviation Production Supervisor
Are you an experienced professional seeking a new challenge in the aerospace and defense sector? We're looking an individuals like you to join our dynamic team in a critical role within our organization. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aircraft maintenance activities. You'll lead a team of technicians and support staff, overseeing maintenance operations, adhering to regulatory standards, and maintaining our impeccable safety record.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate aircraft maintenance technicians and support staff assigned to AAMS Production
- Ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards, including Transport Canada and DND regulations
- Report aircraft progress status to the Production Manager regularly
- Supervise and coordinate aircraft maintenance technicians and support staff, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and safety protocol
- Manage modification programs to ensure timely completion and delivery
- Provide regular progress reports to the Production Manager
- Develop and maintain technician manpower schedules and coordinate deployment support travel plans
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for efficient maintenance activities and discrepancy resolution
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental health standards
- Act as the local designated official for the Controlled Goods Program
- Represent the Production Manager in their absence as required
- Supervising and approving timesheets and vacation requests for aircraft maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and adequate supervision.
Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in flight and maintenance operations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with proactive problem-solving abilities
- Valid Transport Canada AME-E or AME-M2 license preferred
- Familiarity with RAMCO ERP is an asset
- Proven track record in supporting and leading safe operations
- Proficiency in English language and computer literacy
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Ability to work flexible schedules according to flight operations
