Business Development Manager- C Class Consumables
Location: USA (with significant collaboration with teams in the United Kingdom)
General Purpose:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a dynamic and fast-paced role, serving as the bridge between sales and procurement teams. This position requires an innovative and proactive approach to meeting customer needs profitably. The BDM will be based in the USA but will engage extensively with teams in the United Kingdom.
The successful candidate will work closely with various teams and, when necessary, take on responsibilities outside the defined scope. They will serve as the first line of support for customer needs that are not yet established within larger accounts.
This role demands a strong understanding of the aerospace supply chain, experience in vendor management, and knowledge of industry compliance standards to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of parts. Success in this position requires speed, responsiveness, efficiency, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a deep understanding of part suppliers and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:

Procurement of C-Class Consumables: Identify, source, and procure aerospace consumable parts from approved suppliers, ensuring quality, availability, and competitive pricing.

Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of C-Class consumables, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely replenishment to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

Customer Support & Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with the sales team to fulfill customer orders, address inquiries regarding part availability, and provide accurate delivery timelines.

Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing, discounts, and terms with suppliers to optimize procurement costs while maintaining product quality.

Market Trend Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and pricing shifts within the aerospace industry to make strategic purchasing decisions.
Required Experience:

Proven ability to align customer needs with business solutions, leading to profitable and growing accounts.

Established connections within the aviation hardware sector, including customers, vendors, distributors, and manufacturers.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working within the commercial framework of the FAA-governed aerospace industry.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (required).

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred).

5-10 years of experience in the aviation industry, specifically working with or for fastener and Class-C component manufacturers, supply chains, or sales groups (preferably with a mix of all three).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Additional Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
