Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Process Improvement Specialist to join our team, focusing on advancing our Lean initiatives and driving continuous improvement across our organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments, offering expert guidance, support, and oversight on improvement projects. Your efforts will ensure that our improvement strategies align with business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion our Culture and Values: Uphold our company values by delivering high-quality work, treating colleagues and customers with respect, and pursuing continuous learning and development.
- Enhance the CI System: Support the training, development, and implementation of our Continuous Improvement (CI) system. Utilize Lean, Industrial Engineering, and industry best practices tools (e.g., 5-S, value stream mapping, time studies) to drive system development and training.
- Facilitate Improvement Initiatives: Assist in the selection, coordination, and monitoring of continuous improvement projects. Ensure initiatives align with business goals and perform data analysis to assess the success and benefits of these projects.
- Project Management: Lead and manage larger continuous improvement projects as needed. Prepare and present reports to document progress and outcomes to management.
- Adhere to Policies: Ensure compliance with all workplaces conduct policies, including attendance, safety, and security procedures.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as required.
Core Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills in both written and verbal English.
- Ability to convey information clearly to diverse technical audiences.
- Proven experience in motivating and facilitating teams.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities; project management experience is a plus.
- Skilled at working with and influencing various personality types.
- Proactive, analytical, and execution-oriented mindset.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education:
- Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Agile Methodologies is advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role with foundational knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement management systems, tools, and methodologies.
Additional Information:
This role requires immediate Controlled Goods clearance; therefore, only Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered at this time.
