We're currently supporting a leading company in the aviation sector in their quest for an Avionics Integration Designer for their Delta, BC site.
Responsibilities:
Designing electrical and avionics modifications, such as new installations, utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD software and adhering to industry-specific drafting standards like IEEE, ANSY, CSA, ASTM, or Mil-STD.
Creating electrical integration, wiring harness, and routing drawings.
Producing Electrical Load Analysis reports and revisions.
Compiling Weight and Balance reports and revisions.
Developing functional and EMC test plans for both ground and flight.
Crafting Engineering Orders, encompassing comprehensive modification installation instructions.
Conducting peer reviews of various avionics and electrical modification drawings and data packages.
Drafting Instructions for Continued Airworthiness Supplements, Maintenance Manual Supplements, and Illustrated Parts Catalog Supplements.
Actively participating in discussions related to project design matters.
Providing liaison support for installation and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
(4) years of experience in Avionics & Electrical Systems Integration on Transport Category Airplanes and Transport Category Rotorcraft.
Expertise in aircraft electrical and avionics systems operation (including troubleshooting), electrical load calculation and analysis. Proficient understanding of aircraft communications, navigation, pulse (Mode S, TCAS, Weather Radar), flight director, and autopilot systems.
Prior experience within an Aircraft Modification facility is advantageous for this role.
Proficient in computer applications: Autodesk AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
