Project: CNL Chalk River Projects, The proposed candidate will need to attend training at Chalk River two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) for the first two months. After the initial two-month period, the candidate can move to two days per month at Chalk River, Ontario.


Qualifications: 

• Bachelor (Honours) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or membership in an engineering or scientific professional organization
• Previous experience with Nuclear Facilities is an asset
• Sound knowledge of infrastructure demolition engineering and more than ten (10) years of significant related experience in the areas of:

• Building design using steel, masonry, timber and reinforced concrete, to include expertise in:
• CSA S350-M1980, CSA-A23, CSA-16.01, CSA-O86-14, CSA-S304, Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA)
• The Guidelines issued by Professional Engineers of Ontario titled “Professional Engineers Providing Services for Demolition of Buildings and other Structures”, and the Engineering Dismantling and Demolition Work Plan (EDDWP) described therein;
• Sound knowledge of the National Building Code and National Fire Code and other relevant codes and standards used in the design, construction, and commissioning of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities
• Demonstrated performance in providing engineering oversight to various sizes of jobs
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
