Job Title: Document and Configuration Management Analyst
Location: Montreal / Remote Canada
Duration: 12 month Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document and Configuration Management Analyst to support document control and configuration management processes within our organization. This role ensures that all technical and company-level documentation is properly managed, version-controlled, and released following company standards and industry regulations. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of product and project documentation while providing support for Teamcenter, our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Management
- Maintain and control engineering and company documentation, including policies, procedures, reports, and work instructions.
- Ensure proper versioning, approval tracking, and archiving of documents in Teamcenter.
- Collaborate with document owners to review, approve, and release documentation according to established workflows.
Technical Editing & Standardization
- Edit and refine technical documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with company formatting and style guidelines.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to improve document quality while maintaining technical accuracy.
- Develop standardized document templates to enhance consistency across the organization.
PLM & Configuration Management Support
- Support configuration management activities, ensuring proper tracking and approval of changes.
- Provide first-line user support for Teamcenter, including troubleshooting login issues, access permissions, and common errors.
- Assist in testing software updates and new configurations before deployment.
- Identify areas for process improvement within Teamcenter and recommend enhancements.
- Train new users on system best practices and create user guides for troubleshooting common issues.
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate reports on document status, audit trails, and configuration control activities.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for document and configuration management processes.
- Support internal reviews and audits by ensuring documentation meets compliance standards.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in technical editing, technical writing, or document control within an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Teamcenter, SharePoint, or similar Document Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, including experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Certification in document control or configuration management (e.g., Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP)) is a plus.
