Job Description:
We are seeking talented Electrical Engineers to join our team in Pickering, Ontario, working on cutting-edge nuclear projects. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely, with opportunities available for both contract and permanent positions. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in the successful execution of large-scale engineering projects within the nuclear sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in various stages of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Perform electrical power transient analysis, relay protection design, and coordination.
- Specify and select electrical components to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors to achieve project goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant nuclear and engineering codes, standards, and processes, including CSA N299, N286.2, N286.7, N293.7, and C22.1.
- Apply OPG ECC processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in professional or extracurricular settings.
- People management skills or training, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale engineering projects, particularly in the nuclear industry.
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear and engineering processes, codes, and standards.
- Expertise in electrical power transient analysis, relay protection design, and coordination.
- P.Eng. designation or eligibility for P.Eng. certification.
- Experience with OPG ECC processes is highly desirable.
