Industrial Painter
Location: Paris, ON
Job Type: Full-Time, afternoon shift (Mon – Thurs)
Salary: Up to $28/ h based on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for prepping and painting large steel structures. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
• Apply a variety of industrial coatings to large, fabricated metal products using hand-held spray guns and equipment.
• Perform touch-ups and small item painting using brushes and rollers.
• Apply coatings in confined spaces, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, stripping, removing corrosion, and filling dents as needed.
• Mix and select paints following specified formulas, using automated mixing equipment when required.
• Use measuring instruments to verify compliance with painting specifications and quality standards.
• Suggest improvements in tools, equipment, and processes to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain and clean painting, coating, ventilation, and safety equipment.
• Manage and organize paint material stock in compliance with company guidelines.
• Assist in rigging and moving large components for coating processes.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all health and safety protocols.
• Support other production tasks such as blasting, grinding, de-burring, assembly, and general maintenance when required.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or processing issues to supervisors promptly.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial painting.
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
• SSPC QP1 Certification.
