Job Description:
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our project management team at the Bruce site. This is a one-year contract position, with the possibility of renewal based on project needs and individual performance. As a Project Coordinator, you will assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects within a high-stakes environment. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring that project milestones are met and processes are streamlined. This role is ideal for someone with 0-2 years of experience who is eager to grow their project management skills and gain exposure to the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers with the coordination and scheduling of project activities, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
- Track project progress, monitor schedules, and communicate timelines and milestones to team members
- Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders, scheduling and organizing meetings as required
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, progress reports, and project schedules
- Support in the development of project budgets, and track expenses to ensure they align with budgetary guidelines
- Coordinate procurement needs by maintaining records of materials and equipment required for each project phase
- Identify potential risks or delays and report them to project managers, helping to implement corrective actions as necessary
- Maintain strong organization of project files and resources, ensuring documents are accessible and up-to-date
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 0-2 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
