Job Title: Business Development Manager – Canada
Location: Canada
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced National Business Development Manager to drive our growth in the Canadian aerospace market. In this role, you’ll identify new opportunities, cultivate strong client relationships, and enhance our market presence within Canada. You’ll work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and product teams to achieve ambitious revenue targets, all within the framework of our strategic growth plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion: Identify and target business opportunities in the Canadian aerospace sector, prioritizing prospects aligned with our strategic goals.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions, including responses to RFPs and bids.
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales targets through lead generation, client meetings, and proposal development.
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate partnerships with key industry players, clients, and associations to enhance our market positioning.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to track industry trends, competitors, and new areas for potential growth.
- Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with senior leadership to create competitive proposals and negotiate contracts that align with company objectives.
- Product Collaboration: Partner with procurement and global teams to align products with client needs and market demands.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates on business development activities and market insights and participate in monthly forecasting sessions.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales within the aerospace industry, with a focus on fasteners or similar product lines.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Canadian aerospace market, including key players, trends, and regulations.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving growth in competitive markets.
- Client Engagement: Skilled in client relationship management, with a proven ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
- Education: Post-secondary education, ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of aerospace fasteners, technical specifications, and industry standards. Proficiency in CRM tools is beneficial.
- Sales Skills: Expertise in lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information persuasively.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities for market data interpretation and strategic decision-making. Intermediate Excel skills (IF, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) are required.
