Welding Engineer (Bruce/OPG Cleared, P.Eng.)
Location: Bruce Power Site (with some Work from Home flexibility)
Start Date: 2 weeks from offer
Contract Duration: 1 Year (with possibility of extension)

Hourly Rate: $60 - 70/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Welding Engineer with Bruce/OPG clearance and a valid P.Eng. designation to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in welding engineering, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality. You will play a key role in supporting welding projects at the Bruce Power Site, while having some flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review welding procedures in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of welding operations and related activities.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure all welding activities meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support for welding processes, including material selection, welding techniques, and inspection methods.
- Conduct welding-related risk assessments and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Bruce/OPG safety standards and protocols.
Requirements:
- Bruce/OPG security clearance (mandatory).
- P.Eng. designation (mandatory).
- Proven experience as a Welding Engineer, with expertise in welding procedures and standards.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., CSA, ASME).
- Ability to work both on-site at Bruce Power and remotely as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude toward problem-solving and teamwork.
